Epithalon
The telomere guardian
Epithalon (Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on the natural peptide epithalamin produced by the pineal gland. It is one of the most studied peptides in longevity research, primarily for its ability to activate telomerase โ the enzyme that maintains telomere length, a key biomarker of cellular aging.
Research Benefits
How It Works
Epithalon stimulates the production of telomerase, which adds protective nucleotide sequences to the ends of chromosomes (telomeres). As telomeres shorten with each cell division, their maintenance is critical to cellular lifespan. Epithalon also normalises pineal gland function and melatonin secretion.
